STEP 1: In tab additional content: Check export only elements visible in View to activate “Export Rooms, areas and spaces in 3D views” (1). This ensures that rooms are selectable in GAMMA AR.
STEP 2: In tab property sets: Activate “Export Revit property Sets” (2) to include all Revit properties. You can also define property sets to be exported or grouped yourself.
STEP 3: In tab geographic reference: When using IFC, make sure all IFCs are exported with the same settings (3).
Insights
- For multistorey columns and walls you may consider to activate in the General tab the checkbox for “splitting walls, columns by levels” depending on how the model was created. This will only work if the base constraint of the wall/column is placed on a level that is a building storey.
- Make sure that in the export Options for IFC, you don’t export “areas”. They will otherwise overlay other components.
