GAMMA AR supports IFC, Revit and Navisworks files. IFC files can be uploaded directly to the GAMMA BIM PORTAL without any need for additional purchases. Direct uploads for RVT/NWD/NWD files are only available for customers who purchased this option.
To upload a model, open the model section on the left-side-panel (1). Then click on Add models (2).
Drag and drop your IFC, RVT, NWC/NWD models into the grey area (3) or click on the grey area (3) to select files to upload. After an upload and processing, you can also delete models using the trash icon (4).
Note: You can put the upload into the background but do not switch the project to avoid the cancellation of the model upload.
Insights
- The model size is the size of the processed file after the upload on the GAMMA BIM PORTAL and is likely to deviate from the size of the initial model file in Navisworks or IFC) – this is the size of the file that would need to be downloaded on the phone or tablet in the app.
- Your project must have at least one model that contains at least one of the elements (spaces, walls or columns) for positioning on site or you will need to adapt the settings. Additional models (e.g. MEP) do not need elements of these types as they will be appended to the architectural model.
